Featured Farm - Isabelle Farm

Isabelle Farm in Lafayette, Colorado

There may not be anything quite as exciting to those of us here at MM Local as discovering a partner like Isabelle Farms. Our business thrives on close relationships with farmers and Isabelle has been a tremendous contributor to our efforts as we developed our first products this summer.

Jason and Natalie Condon, along with their Field Manager, Ben Bowditch, have been tremendous partners for MM Local since the beginning. And it doesn't hurt that they happen to grow some of the best tomatoes and chile peppers that we've tasted in the Front Range.

Isabelle Farm's Organic Tomatoes are very, very good

Isabelle Farms is an organic family farm in Lafayette, Colorado. Small, but growing, they're a shining example of how family farming can go beyond survival to truly thrive with community support. Their top-quality organic produce, talented team and passionate people have driven success and built relationships with CSA members, wholesalers and market-goers. They sell fresh produce at both the Boulder and Longmont Farmers Markets, at their farm stand, and are a supplier for Boulder restaurant Zolo Mexican Grill.

Jason Condon's family has farmed in Boulder County since 1859 - which is a long time for a family farm to stick around these days. In 2004, Jason and Natalie purchased their own farmland out on Isabelle Road, where they began growing organic produce in 2005. Both Jason and Natalie grew up with farming in their blood, but it's their commitment to expanding their local markets, farming sustainably and treating people well, fairly and generously that has made a real impact on us. Ben Bowditch - a Wisconsin native who also grew up knee-deep in farm dirt - also brings an admirable focus on building relationships and connecting with local community members.

Isabelle has grown tomatoes and chiles for us this year, and we'll turn to them to help develop our next round of products over the winter and spring. We couldn't be more excited to work with great people at an exceptional, local farm.

Hard work for great produce - rich summer air, midday heat, and a field full of delicious local flavors
When you open up a jar of MM Local tomatoes or chile peppers this fall, pause a quick moment for us. Close your eyes and take a quick trip back to mid-summer. Savor the fresh flavor, the midday heat, and the hard work that our friends at Isabelle put into growing such incredible produce.
